Emergency lighting
The application of semi-conductor sources of light of a new generation with more light efficiency than from luminescent lamps allows:
- — To decrease power consumption of a luminary.
- — To get much the same light yield in the emergency state as in working condition.
- — To increase life time of a luminary, because semi-conductor luminaries of a new generation work from 80 till 100 thousand hours and that averages 8 years or 2 life times of an accumulator battery.
- — The economy of use of solid-state light sources in comparison with a luminescent lamp 8 watt (the electric power, the retubing, operating costs) during 8 years of working will make about cost of the luminary.
- — As a result it turns out that our luminary is in two times more favourable than the similar, but with a luminescent lamp!
Where and in what cases the emergency lighting is necessary?
Escape-Route lighting
- — above every door used as an exit in case of emergency;
- — on stairways: direct light shall fall on each step of the stairway;
- — above every emergency exit and icons;
- — at all points of escape-route direction change;
- — at gangway/hallway intersections. On the outside and above every last exit;
- — at each fire-fighting equipment point or emergency alarm panel;
- — in escape-route gangways and staircases
Standby lighting
- — Means a part of the emergency lighting system which can create visual conditions to resume activities, basically, without any changes, for example, in the central controller's office and control panels of power supply systems, of transport, services of rescue, etc.
Lighting of production areas of increased danger
- — In production areas where there is a risk of injuries from running equipment if the working lights are out.
